A clean install takes under two minutes. Here's the full process, plus how to update or remove Sandbox without leaving anything behind.
Installing
- Download the installer from the pricing page β a single
.exe, roughly 45 MB. - Run it. Windows SmartScreen may show an "unrecognized app" prompt the first time a new build is released β click More info β Run anyway. This is normal for independently-distributed Windows apps and disappears as the build accumulates reputation.
- No sign-in during the trial β Sandbox opens straight to your workspace. No card, no email, no account to set up.
That's it β you're in, with 300 trial credits and full Pro-level access for 3 days.
Updating
Sandbox checks for updates on launch and applies them automatically in the background; you'll see a small "Updated to vX.X" notice on next open. To update manually, go to Settings β About β Check for updates.
Uninstalling cleanly
- Open Windows Settings β Apps β Installed apps.
- Find "Sandbox AI" and choose Uninstall.
- This removes the app and its local cache. If you're still on the free trial (no account created), your trial data lives only on this device β reinstalling starts a fresh 3-day trial. If you continued past the trial via the in-app payment link, your account, workspace history and billing are stored in the cloud and untouched β reinstalling and signing back in restores everything.
To fully delete a paid account and its cloud data, use Settings β Data β Delete account inside the app before uninstalling, or contact support.
Common install issues
- "This app can't run on your PC" β you're likely on 32-bit Windows or below Windows 10 21H2; see system requirements.
- Installer blocked by antivirus β some antivirus tools flag new/low-reputation installers by default. Allow it once, or download again after a few days once the build has more installs.
- Stuck signing in after paying β usually a corporate firewall blocking outbound HTTPS to our auth service; see the troubleshooting guide.
