Sandbox AI Inc. ("Sandbox", "we") builds a Windows application that sends your prompts to third-party model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Mistral, DeepSeek and others) and to our own GPU clusters for open-weight models. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

What we collect

  • Account data — collected only if you continue past the 3-day free trial: an email address, and hashed password or SSO identifier (Google/Microsoft), captured through the payment link inside the app. The trial itself needs none of this.
  • Usage metadata — which models you ran, credit consumption, timestamps, and app version. Used for billing and reliability, not for training.
  • Prompts and generations — routed to the model provider you selected, held in your workspace history for export, and deleted 90 days after account closure.
  • Crash and diagnostic logs — sent only with your consent, used to fix bugs in the Windows app.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data to anyone, ever.
  • We don't use your prompts to train our models or anyone else's — every provider contract we sign requires zero-retention API terms.
  • We don't share your content with other Sandbox customers, including in aggregate or anonymized form beyond basic usage statistics.

Where your data lives

By default, requests route to whichever region gives you the best latency. Ultra and Custom plans can pin a workspace to our EU cluster (Frankfurt) so prompts, files and generations never leave EU infrastructure. Self-hosted models (Llama, Stable Diffusion open variants) always run on our own clusters, never a third-party API.

Your rights

You can export your full workspace history at any time from Settings → Data, and request permanent deletion by contacting support. EU residents have full rights under GDPR, including access, correction, deletion and portability.

California residents: under the CCPA/CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information we hold, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale or sharing. We don't sell or share your personal information as defined by California law — you can still submit a request through the contact form.
